Brandan Robertson, Lead Pastor
Brandan Robertson is the Lead Pastor of Missiongathering Christian Church in San Diego, California. He is the primary preacher during our Sunday Gatherings and leads our staff, ministry teams, and church through management, vision, and pastoral care. Brandan is the author of Nomad: A Spirituality For Traveling Light and Our Witness: The Unheard Stories of LGBT+ Christian. Acclaimed as one of "the most hope-inspiring young Christian leaders", Brandan speaks to audiences around the world casting a vision of hope and healing for the future of spirituality. He writes regularly for the Huffington Post, Patheos, and TIME Magazine, and is regularly interviewed in national media on topics pertaining to faith in public life. He earned is B.A. in Pastoral Ministry from Moody Bible Institute and his Masters of Theological Studies from Iliff School of Theology.
Kyle McMillan, Minister of Worship
Kyle McMillan is the Minister of Worship at Missiongathering Christian Church in San Diego, California. He is the primary organizer and director of our Sunday Gatherings and oversees our Tech and Media Ministries. Kyle is also the Director and Manager of The Irenic, the renowned local music venue housed on the Missiongathering Campus. Kyle has worked as a musician and producer with some of the greatest musicians in the world today and has performed across the country. He is the owner of KKOR Music Group and Studios and the Director of LK Productions.
Kia Parks, Administrative Director & Volunteer Coordinator
Kia Parks is the Administrative Director & Volunteer Coordinator at Missiongathering Christian Church in San Diego, California. She oversees the day to day operations of Missiongathering and organizes programs, outreach, and communications for the church. Kia is also the Event Manager of The Irenic, the renowned local music venue housed at the Missiongathering Campus. Kia also works as an Autism Movement Therapy Provider with We Rock The Spectrum, San Diego and is the owner and fitness trainer at Harmony Group Fitness. Kia is also an acclaimed singer and performs at a wide variety of events and venues around Southern California.
Our Elders are responsible for providing accountability and direction to our church staff and community. They serve three year terms and meet regularly to ensure the health and vibrancy of the mission and ministry of Missiongathering.
Our Pastoral Care Team is made up of Lay Pastors, individuals who volunteer and have been appointed to lead the Missiongathering community through pastoral care and guidance. These are gifted and seasoned leaders who have displayed a deep commitment to the vision, mission, and community at Missiongathering and have a passion for helping our community thrive.
Missiongathering San Diego is part of a broader church-planting movement spanning the entire country through the Disciple of Christ (Christian Church). Led by our Founding Pastor Rich McCullen, the Missiongathering Movement is inspiring hope and illuminating love in every corner of the United States.
Rich McCullen, Director, The Missiongathering Movement
Rich McCullen is the founder and director of the Missiongathering Movement, a national church planting movement that centers on Missiongatherings unique model of being a progressive, missional, inclusive, evangelical church. Rich currently serves as the primary Preaching Pastor at Missiongathering Christian Church in Charolotte, North Carolina and is currently laying the foundation to plant Missiongatherings in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Seattle, Washington, and Kansas City, Missouri.
